We all have a long story, here's my long story short...kind of. I was born and raised in
California in a very typical middle class family. Dad was a UPS driver and drummer
and mom was a stay-at-home mom. I have a very strong bond with my brother and
am the oldest of lots of amazing cousins! When I was born I began talking upon
delivery… so my mom says. Ha. With the combination of my mom hauling me to
dance six days a week, the great ability to talk a lot, and my dads gypsy love for music
and entertainment, I grew into an adult that, well, makes a living by talking and
entertaining. I am my own favorite person to make fun of. When I went to work at a
news desk and had to be very serious I would drive home every day exhilarated from
being at a live news desk but also cracking up at how “professional” and “Ron Burgundy” I came off. Don’t get me wrong, I love journalism! There is nothing like the feeling of sitting at a live news desk or being out in the field as a reporter. After all I am a news junkie. I went to college for Journalism and ended up coming out with a degree in Communications and Marketing. I absolutely love to interview people and share in
conversation. I also love to write anything; news, commercials, P.S.A.’s, stories, life
experiences, and comedy. I embrace comedy and have spent time studying it in
Hollywood. I also very much enjoy traveling, but then again, who doesn’t? Have you
ever heard someone say, no thanks, I really do not want to go to Fiji or to Maine or
to Key West???? Right?! I was graced with a job that required me to travel. When
living in L.A. I worked for Fox Sports Net as a producer that had me covering stories
all over California, Arizona and Florida. Shortly after that show came to an end I was
hired to work as a travel journalist and host of a TV show about the sailing lifestyle. Now understand, I was not Brook Burke walking down the beach like in Wild on E. I was climbing to the top of ship masts, participating in flipper races on the beach, jumping out of airplanes, scuba diving, cave diving, and climbing coconut trees. To sum it all up, I can be serious when duty calls, but I do love to be personable, relateable, and just down right goofy! Thanks for reading! And remember my motto
“Have the fun of a blonde, with the brains of a brunette”!
